Research expertise

Much of my work focuses on brain reorganization as a result of congenital anomalies such as agenesis of the corpus callosum or following therapeutic neurosurgery in epileptic children (e.g. callosotomy, hemispherectomy). This work has also led me to study the cognitive effects of epilepsy in children. More recently, my involvement in the clinical assessment of the effects of concussions on National Hockey League players led me to develop, jointly with McGill University researchers, a research program on the electrophysiological effects of minor concussions on athletes.
